Sana and Clint

Sana Rahim
Sana Rahim is a 21 year old Muslim and a graduate of Northwestern University, majoring in English Literature and minoring in Political Science. She hails from Laramie, Wyoming.
At Northwestern, Sana served as the Co-Director for The Global Engagement Summit (GES) in 2011, a five-day training conference for youth leaders invested in social change. She has also served as a leader on The Undergraduate Budget Priorities Committee (UBPC), GlobeMed, and the Muslim Cultural Students Association (McSA).
Sana spent the summer of 2009 working at the Istanbul Bilgi Human Rights Research Center focusing on women’s rights and NGO approaches towards gender discrimination. She also completed an internship at the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) at Sabanci University in the department dealing with US -Turkey relations.
In the summer of 2010, Sana received The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Grant to further explore gender equality in Turkey, specifically identifying and analyzing best practices and approaches of women’s NGOs. Sana conducted case studies in 9 cities to analyze the varying geographical, social, economic, political, cultural, and religious factors that influenced NGO approaches.
Clint Fluker
Clinton is a 25 year old Christian from Atlanta. He studied Philosophy and Spanish at Morehouse College in 2008 where he co-founded ARCHE, a student-run organisation which organises volunteer work in areas affected by HIV/AIDS.
While a student, Clint’s primary ARCHE missions were to South Africa and Lesotho. During his college tenure, he studied Spanish at Middlebury College (Vermont), Pontificia Universidad Católica Del Ecuador and Facultad Latinoamericana De Ciencias Sociales in Ecuador. Additionally, he studied as a Mellon Fellow at Emory University. His research focused on the sociopolitical impact of the film King Kong.
Since graduating Clinton has worked as an intern at the Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria (2009). He completed an internship at the Carter Center working in the Liberia Conflict Resolution Program, and he worked as the program coordinator of the Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation and the UNCF Skirball Program at Morehouse College.
Currently, Clint lives in Jeonju, South Korea where he works at Hanil High School as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant.
