Rahul, Sunder, Bunty and Pooja
Rahul, Sunder , Bunty and Pooja have been an embodiments of people who freely enlist themselves for service.
They lived in a slum colony in Delhi before they were moved to Savda Ghevra, the resettlement colony where the Faiths Act India team works in Delhi. Far from livelihood, their families like others in the colony also suffer from little or no access to basic sanitation and health facilities. The Kutumb Foundation introduced us to these young enterprising residents of the colony. Since day one of our work here, they have supported us to build relationships in the community, to help with health messaging and to conduct sensitization walks.

They were instrumental in finding us an office space and getting it operational. We have counted on them for each of our initiatives in the colony and they have always taken onus upon themselves to make those events a success and also in turn helped us understand the needs of the community
They have helped contextualize our work better in the community and we have sought their help in shaping our maternal health project. These young men and woman are an inspiration for us here, as they are committed to betterment of health services in their own community and have the courage to look beyond their personal problems and serve the greater good of the community.
Taking the extra mile, Rahul has started conducting English speaking classes in the community while Pooja conducts free coaching classes for primary school students at the Faiths Act India-kutumb office in Savda Ghevra. We look forward to their support throughout our fellowship year and are confident that they will continue to work for better health services as community leaders.
