Pakistani Flood Disaster

Voices from Africa on the MDGs
Faiths Act Fellow Alum Pritpal Kaur Riat talked with Charles Abugre Akelyira, the United Nation’s Development Programme’s African Director on outcomes from the UN Millennium Development Goals Summit in New York. Pritpal also spoke to an advocate for interfaith cooperation to fight malaria in Nigeria as well as a Faiths Act supporter from Uganda to find out how communities on the ground in Africa have felt the impact of the MDGs.

World Religious Leaders Summit
When religious leaders from around the world came together for the 2010 Summit in Canada, Faiths Act youth were there. Faiths Act Fellow Alum Hilary Keachie speaks with Moderator Mardi Tindal of the United Church in Canada and Reverend Yoshinobu Miyake (Shinto) from Japan about the Summit, its Interfaith Statement, and the introduction of youth delegates.
