What’s the urgency?
Malaria, a preventable disease, kills 33% of children under five in Sierra Leone. We need to confront this.
How are we tackling this?
We are creating a malaria prevention programme that faith leaders and their congregations will deliver across communities in Sierra Leone. Working with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and the Interreligious Council of Sierra Leone, we are helping boost the national malaria prevention plans to help save lives through multi-faith action.
We plan to reach over 100,000 homes by June 2012.
How can you help?
Your donation will ensure that:
- faith representatives deliver malaria prevention message in their communities
- malaria prevention packs are distributed in Sierra Leone
- our Fellows mobilise faith communities to work together to deliver the programme
- the programme is managed and run by Sierra Leonians over the long term
You can help us save lives – please donate now.
If for any unforeseen reason we're not able to use your donation for our 'Faiths Act in Sierra Leone' programme, your donation will go towards other Tony Blair Faith Foundation programmes.
